My family and I have lived in Chastain Park since 1994. Interestingly, Chastain Park is the largest city park in Atlanta, Georgia (Sorry Piedmont Park fans). But lifestyle is not really about size - each park has its own unique personality. I am partial to Chastain Park because of the rolling hills, the trees, the wide range of amenities and the older neighborhood feel. That is why we chose to move here. In fact, I cannot really imagine living anywhere else! Chastain Park consists of 268-acres just north of Buckhead at the top edge of the city limits of Atlanta and includes paved jogging paths, playground, tennis courts, a public golf course, swimming pool, horse park, pond, organic farm and amphitheater. All centered around a local landmark restaurant - The Horseradish Grill.
There are no formal boundaries defining Chastain Park so the neighborhood is a collection of older neighborhood homes surrounding the park amenities. Generally, we consider Chastain Park to lie between Northside Dr to the west, Mount Paran Rd to the north, Roswell Rd to the east and Blackland Rd to the south. Chastain Park lies within two zip codes (30327 and 30342), straddles two cities (Sandy Springs and Atlanta) and is served by three different elementary schools (Heards Ferry, Warren T. Jackson and Highpoint). From a real estate perspective, that makes property valuations complicated because small location nuances can matter a lot!
That is where our expertise and local knowledge comes in very handy for both Buyers and Sellers. We are living, working and playing in Chastain Park EVERY day. No one will be able to know this market niche better than us.
Warmest Regards,
Michael Bunch
